Large Antique French Carved Wooden Butter Brick - Strawberries

This is a wonderful late 19th Century antique French butter brick mould, with a rarely seen carving of strawberries.

A lovely large size, the carving in the middle features strawberries and foliage in a nice symmetrical pattern, surrounded by a sweet border. With a rich patina, this would look beautiful simply sat proudly on display to give a rustic or farmhouse touch to your interior kitchen styling. But as it is still in excellent condition, with just a few surface scratches and scuffs in places, it is perfectly usable still.
