Extra Large Antique White Ironstone Scale Plate - Ideal Cheese Board

A rarely seen example of an extra large plain white ironstone scale plate, dating from the early 20th Century, which is ideal for use as a cheese board or serving platter.

Although there are some surface scratches and scuffs from use over the years, this fantastic large and heavy scale plate is largely in clean condition. The marks and scuffs are mostly limited to the edges of the plate, where it would have been held in position on a large set of iron scales.

The underside of the plate has areas of staining in the middle of the plate, no doubt from where it would have been in contact with fresh produce. But there are no cracks or chips to the plate, and it still has a number of years' use left in it.

Perfect as a serving dish, cheese or charcuterie board.
