Antique Victorian Carved English 'Bread' Knife

A nice antique English carved wooden handled bread knife with steel blade.

Dating from the late 19th/early 20th Century, this is a nice example of an English carved wooden handled bread knife which is perfect for display (and use) as part of a kitchenalia collection.

The carved treen handle has been engraved "BREAD". This has faded through wear over time but it is still recognisable. And the colour and rich patina of the knife still makes it a very attractive piece. The handle also has a beautiful finial end and has a quality join to the steel blade. The steel blade is also in very nice condition, with very little tarnishing as is so often the case. 

Overall, this is a nice piece of collectable kitchenalia.
