Featuring a carved border of interweaving ribbons of wheat and barley, the detail on this has faded over time but the layers of carving can still be clearly seen. The wear has created a unique and timeworn patina.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThere are numerous knife marks from where the board has been used regularly. However, the board has also been waxed routinely, and so these blend in well with the overall timeworn charm of the piece. There are some small age cracks on each side, mostly evident on the back of the board.
