Antique Timeworn Ironstone Ravier Plate by Boch

This is a listing for a beautiful antique early 20th Century ironstone oval serving dish, or what is known in France and Belgium as a ravier. Designed to serve appetisers and canapes on, it is a fantastic little serving dish. 

WIth a mark for renowned makers Boch Les Freres on its underside, this stunning timeworn plate has a wonderful decorative deep blue transferware pattern around its border. The plate itself is heavily stained from use, with a rich coffee coloured patination. This complements the blue transferware pattern beautifully.

Apart from the timeworn colouring, this plate is otherwise in very good condition, with no chips or cracks. There is a small knock on one side of the rim which has resulted in the staining being more heavy here but this adds to the unique charm of the plate.ily stained than the other, depending on how much age you wish to have.
