This is a very sweet white ironstone French circular strainer bowl, dating from the early to mid 20th Century.
Simple in style, this pierced white ironstone bowl nonetheless has a timeless and classic look to it. Standing on a raised base, this item was designed to be used to rinse berries or vegetables clean.
This bowl is ideal used on display as part of a kitchenalia collection, and is good for day to day use when washing or peeling fruit and vegetables.
In it in mint condition, with no cracks, chips or crazing. There is light wear to the base of the foot and a small firing fault on the rim, where it is slightly out of line (although this does add character to the piece).
