This is a stunning white ironstone French circular berry strainer, dating from the early to mid 20th Century.
Simple in style, this pierced white ironstone berry bowl nonetheless has a timeless and classic look to it. Standing on a raised base, this item was designed to be used to rinse berries clean.
This bowl is ideal used on display as part of a kitchenalia collection, and is good for day to day use when washing or peeling fruit and vegetables.
It is in very good condition, with no cracks or knocks. There is light crazing all over, some of which has lightly stained and some wear to the base. But this adds to its timeworn charm and it is otherwise a beautiful item.
