This is a listing for a rare French confiture advertising pot for Felix Potin, dating from around 1900, in the extra large three pound size. It is in as found condition, with a significant chip to the top rim. Nonetheless, it is still a highly decorative item. And, if covered with dried flowers, this wouldn't be noticeable.

Dating from the very start of the 20th Century, this French ironstone advertising pot is a scarce survivor.

The Felix Potin jam or confiture pots came in a range of different styles. This teal coloured transfer is a real beauty, with the framed logo wrapping itself around the front of the pot. The ironstone pot itself is very heavy and sturdy, a signature of the French examples.

This extra large three pound Confiture pot is in as found condition. As can be seen from the photos, there is a notable chip to the top rim above the logo. There is also a small crack below this. However, this adds to its chippy patina and does mean that the pot is available at half the price they would normally sell for.

Aside from the chip it is in good condition, with no other damage. There is spotting and staining dotted across the pot but overall it is a clean piece with the transfer logo still very clear.

It would make a great starter piece in a collection and they are also ideal for use around the home as decorative pieces.
