There is no chain but the original hook is at the top to attach it. This piece stands out because the fittings at each end are made of brass; usually, they have been made from cast iron and often suffer oxidisation as a result.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe whole piece has an aged look to it, with lightly stained crazing across it. But this adds a natural timeworn charm.
