This is a listing for ONE extra large Victorian English marmalade or preserve pots. Two are available to choose from, either in the two or three pound size.
Dating from the late Victorian period, these antique jam or marmalade pots are in varying shades of pale putty. Creamy grey, beige and touches of white are evident in them, making them a perfect neutral backdrop for display and everyday storage in the modern home.
These are weathered and chippy old pots, with imperfect and rough finishes, dents, nicks, dribbles in the glaze, firing marks and discoloration. In our view this adds to their rustic charm and timeworn appeal. Most notable, the larger three pound example does also have a chip in the top rim and a hairline crack running down the side from this. However, it’s still usable as a decorative piece.
