Antique Edwardian White Ironstone Banded Kitchen Storage Jar - Rice

A highly collectible Edwardian banded white ironstone storage jar for "RICE”, in excellent condition with its original lid.

These white ironstone storage jars were popular in the early part of the twentieth Century, when foodstuffs were often sold in loose measures in local grocers shops. The "RICE” label on this pot is still very clear and visible. The white storage jar is a great size for day to day use and its rounded barrel shape is also unusual.

This Edwardian jar is in great overall condition, with no chips, cracks or crazing. It is in very clean condition, with just a few minor age spots notable on the top rim.

A great piece either to start or add to a collection of white ironstone antique storage jars.
