Rare Antique Early 20th Century White Ironstone Roe's Patent Rosebud Pie Funnel

A rare and highly collectable pie funnel or vent, dating from the early 20th Century, for Roe's Patent Rosebud pie funnel.

Ceramic pie funnels started to be used in the late 1800s, gaining in popularity in England in the early part of the twentieth Century. This Roe's Patent 'Rosebud' example is very rarely seen.

The black transfer print logo across the front of this example is still very clear, and this is overall a very clean example. There is just some minor wear and discolouration to the base rim and some crazing to the top. There are no cracks.
