A delightful set of four antique white ironstone weights.
This is an unusual set of ironstone weights, originating from Europe, to measure out 1, 5, 10 and 20 dag (decograms - a 10 gram unit).
Made of ironstone, it’s unusual for sets like this to last as they would have been susceptible to breaks and chips. All of the four weights in this set are in excellent condition and the underglaze transfer print of the measurements on top are very clear still. There are a few age spots but these are minimal and overall it’s a very clean set.
