Vintage Mid 20th Century Milk Glass Advertising Pot – One Pound James Keiller Dundee Marmalade
A great example of a vintage James Keiller Dundee marmalade pot, dating from mid 20th Century.
Dundee marmalade pots were produced in a wide variety of different shapes and sizes for the popular Scottish brand, James Keiller. These milk glass versions were produced in the mid 20th Century. Intended as throwaway items, they were often discarded with rubbish.
These one pound slim versions of the James Keiller were most commonly available, and they are popular amongst collectors today as great starter pieces. They look great on display, but also are a fantastic size to serve a multitude of purposes around the home, for example to hold cutlery in, for use as a vase and even as toothbrush holders.
This example is in mint condition, with no chips or cracks. There is some very light fading to the top of the transfer and a line of colour running around the glass, which would be from the time of production.
