Vintage French Early 20th Century White Enamel Wall Hanging Spoon or Utensil Holder

1930s antique Meredith Drew glass shop counter advertising display jar

A wonderful French white enamel all hanging wooden spoon or utensil rack, dating from the early to mid twentieth Century.

This is a lovely vintage item, probably dating from the early to mid 20th Century, although the styling also points to it potentially being earlier. In a nice bright white colour, this rack would make a perfect addition to the modern kitchen. It can be used as a small wall hanging holder for kitchen utensils and spoons, but might also fit small eggs (e.g. quails eggs). There is space for 9 spoons or utensils and a large hole to allow this to be fixed to the wall.

This enamel spoon rack is French and is in lovely condition. Some of the enamel has worn, as is usual for enamel items of this age. However, it’s still perfectly usable. Originally, the edges of the rack and slots were probably a contrasting black colour. This has also worn away, although traces are still visible.

It’s a very pretty piece of French kitchenalia.
