Antique Early 20th Century Frenc White Ironstone ‘Moutarde de Maille’ Advertising Pots
This is a listing for ONE antique French white ironstone advertising pot for “Moutarde de Maille” dating from the early 1900s. A total of three are available, in a small or large size.
Made by Sarreguemines, these are sturdy and heavy white ironstone pots. With their simple black typography printed across their middles, these old white ironstone French pots are very collectable, making wonderful display items which are also perfect for use as small bud vases.
Originally discarded, these pots have since been dig up from a Victorian dump. Despite many years underground, these French stoneware pots are in reasonable and clean condition.
LEFT SMALL POT: This pot measures 11.5cm tall and 6.5cm wide. With a clear transfer, it is in overall clean condition, with just some patches of staining. It is in chippy condition, with a few chips to the top rim and nibbles to the base
MIDDLE LARGE POT: The largest pot available, this pot measures 13cm tall and 7cm wide. The transfer on this pot is nice and clear but this pot has suffered some damage from its time underground. Most notably, there are two chips to the top rim, one of which is significant and has a hairline running along the back of the pot from this. However, these are extremely robust pots so it is still a good decorative piece.
RIGHT SMALL POT: In good overall condition, this pot has the Sarreguemines mark to its base. It measures 11.5cm tall and 6.5cm wide. There are some nibbles to the top and base rims and lines of crazing which have discoloured.
