Antique Edwardian White Ironstone Toilet Flush or Loo Pull Chain
This is a delightful ironstone toilet pull handle, complete with its original chain, to use on a high level cistern.
Dating from the early 20th Century, this has a wonderful antique patina to it.
With a brown transfer print pattern which is still strong and clearly legible, the word ‘PULL’ is centrally located in a scrolled banner with pretty decoration. The top bears the mark for ‘The Utitlity Patent’.
It has its original chain, which has some splatters of paint on it. This could easily be replaced.
The whole piece has crazed glazing which has stained to a similar colour as the transfer, creating a lovely patina.
The toilet pull has suffered some knocks in its lifetime. There are some scuffs to the base, although more notably there is a chip to the top of the pull at the back. This measures approximately 1cm wide and 0.5cm tall. As it is located at the top this won’t ordinarily show when hanging in position.
