Antique Edwardian White Ironstone Measuring Spoon with Gilt Edging and Measures for Teaspoon, Dessert and Tablespoons

1930s antique Meredith Drew glass shop counter advertising display jar

A sweet little white ironstone antique Edwardian measuring spoon with faded gilt edging.

Produced in the early 20th Century, this white ironstone spoon measures a Tablespoon, Dessert Spoon or Teaspoon. It stands on three tiny bun feet. These measures were often used for medicine, but they are perfect for use by a keen cook in a modern kitchen. As they are quite small and delicate, they can be difficult to find in a lovely condition like this.

This measuring spoon is in a lovely condition. The gilt edging has faded a little in places, but this adds to the timeworn patina and charm of this white ironstone piece. The black transfer print measuring lines and print are still very clear. And there are no chips or cracks, and just some mild crazing to the base of the spoon.
