Antique Early 20th Century Beige Stoneware Jam Jar or Marmalade Pot

A 1lb English jam jar, marmalade or preserve pot, dating from the early 1900s, in a nice creamy grey colour.
This smooth glazed pot is in a shade pale putty, making it a perfect neutral backdrop for display and everyday storage in the modern home. The collared neck is unusual and helps to make a feature of this antique storage jar.
This is a weathered and chippy old pot, with imperfect and rough patches, dents, nicks, dribbles in the glaze, firing marks an discoloration. The creamy beige coloured pot also has two hairlines, although these are stable and the pot is still very usable. These imperfections add to the rustic charm and timeworn appeal of antique pots like this.
