This antique jar is a lovely example of Edwardian advertising and packaging, with the branding applied via black transfer print onto the treacle coloured glaze beneath. The transfer remains clear.
On the side of the pot at its base is the Skey Tamworth makers mark and the number ‘3’, indicating the size of the pot.
The jar is in excellent used condition. There are no cracks. The only defects are some mild crazing to the neck and some general wear to the base, as to be expected from a pot of this age.
