Set of Two Antique Edwardian Large Rustic Stoneware Marmalade Pots – Ideal Bud Vases, Utensil Holder or Brush Pots
A set of two large 2lb English jam jar, marmalade or preserve pots, dating from the early 1900s, in a two differing shades of creamy grey.
These smooth glazed pots are in different shades of pale putty, making them a perfect neutral backdrop for display and everyday storage in the modern home. The collared necks are unusual and helps to make a feature of these antique storage jars.
Both pots are weathered and chippy, with imperfect and rough patches, dents, nicks, dribbles in the glaze, firing marks an discoloration. These imperfections add to the rustic charm and timeworn appeal of antique pots like this.
The lighter grey pot has a hairline in one side, although it can still be used for decorative purposes. There is also a small chip in the base of the slightly taller and deeper cream coloured pot.
