Antique Early to Mid 20th Century Figural Breadboard or Cutting Board in the Shape of a Pig
A cute and nice sized example of a vintage wooden breadboard in the shape of a pig.
Dating from the mid 20th Century, this vintage treen bread board has seen a little wear over the years but this adds to its rustic charm as an interesting and decorative addition to the kitchen. With its original beaded eye, this board can stand up on its feet or alternatively has a hold in its tail for hanging up.
In the shape of a pig, this cutting board has been well used and has a number of cut marks to its surface. There are also a few cracks on this piece, most notably extending the mouth into a very sweet expression. These are all stable, and regular waxing will help ensure no further splits occur. There are also a few old worm holes, however these have been treated. On the back of the board is a stain from use. Again, regular waxing will help lessen this.
