Large Antique Victorian Treen Rolling Pin

antique edwardian 1920s smiths crisps shop display glass jar counter

This extra large wooden treen rolling pin is a wonderful piece of antique kitchenalia, believed to date back to the late Victorian period at the end of the Century.

This huge rolling pin measures 57cm in length, and 8cm across. It has a rustic appearance, and is very heavy. It is a baking utensil which can be used for many more years.

The condition of this rolling pin is very good. The wood has aged well, with just a few odd knocks and dents, as well as a few surface scratches in place. There are no splits in the wood. Scratches to the surface are more notable on each of the handles. The metal joints have oxidised a little, but this doesn’t affect the use of the pin in any way, which still rolls well. One of the handles has also been tightened revealing the metal pin at one end. This is tight so we haven’t altered this but it may be possible to do so.

This antique rolling pin would add rustic and shabby chic charm to any modern kitchen. And its large size means it would also look fabulous taking pride of place on display too.
