antique 19th century 1800s small french oval ironstone blue transferware serving dish sarreguemines groseilles

This is a listing for ONE antique 19th Century ironstone oval serving dish.

Dating from the late 19th Century, these excellent quality French ironstone dishes were made by Sarreguemines, in the Groseilles pattern – meaning blue currant.

Featuring slightly different blue transferware patterns of mixed fruits, the deep blue colouring contrasts against a cream coloured backdrop.

All in excellent order, with no chips of cracks, they have gorgeous timeworn charm and patina, with light crazing on each dish.

The left hand dish is the most heavily crazed, some of which has stained lightly to create a tea stained effect. The middle dish features a currant pattern and the right hand plate also features gooseberries.

Beautiful dishes which are perfect as serving or snack dishes, and also as trinket pots
