Antique Early 20th Century Large French White Ironstone Bowl – Ideal for Salad or Pasta
A harder to find shallow large white ironstone serving bowl, dating from the early 20th Century and produced by a Parisian pottery.
The large size of this antique ironstone mixing bowl makes it perfect for use as a large salad bowl or pasta dish. And, when not in use, its shallower shape makes it ideal for display, stacked up with other white ironstone pieces.
In lovely condition, there are no cracks or chips on this piece. There are some minor scratches and patches of discoloration around the outer rim, some of which are more notable on some sides than others, and also mild staining to the inside of the bowl from use. There are also a few spots of very mild crazing. However, overall its in quite clean condition, especially given its age.
The underneath bears a maker’s mark for a Paris factory, although this has smudged over time and the factory is not familiar to me.
