Antique Early 20th Century French Stoneware Rillettes Advertising Pot – Tetedoie Charcuterie, Angers
A gorgeous stoneware antique French advertising pot, used by a local charcuterie in Angers for its ‘Tetedoie’ Rillettes.
Dating from the early 20th Century, this pot was designed to advertise a local French butchers shop. Rillettes is a famous French pork dish, much like a pâté, and this pot was used by the charcuterie to sell its own version in.
The pot itself has taken on a beautiful patina over the years and has a lightly speckled pattern across it. The blue transfer print advertising is still nice and clear.
There are no chips to the pot although there is a small hairline at the top right hand side of the pot which is about a centimetre in length. However, this is tight and the pot is structurally sound.
A beautiful pot to add a vintage or antique styling touch to your home. Ideal for display as it is or for use as a small bud vase.
