Antique French Ironstone Early 20th Century Advertising Pot for Roger & Gallet Creme Savon
This is a listing for a rarely seen antique French white ironstone advertising pot for Roger & Gallet’s Crème de Savon, dating from the early 20th Century.
This is a beautiful example of a French ironstone advertising pot, dating from around 1900. Like all French ironstone pots, it features beautiful and intricate imagery and typography. The brand and product information features on both sides in subtle sage green colouring. A beautiful pattern, with scrolling, borders and foliage links them together. The lid of the pot is no less detailed, with the monogrammed initials for Roger & Gallet taking centre stage.

Originally, this pot was used for shaving cream but these are now delightful items to have displayed around the home.

Considering the age of this piece, it is in very good overall condition with very clear transfers still. There is some light crazing all over and a small chip to the top rim on one side which is about 0.5cm in width. But this isn’t overly notable, and it’s rare to find these pots with their original lids.
