French Antique Large White Ironstone Dairy or Mixing Bowl with a Pouring Spout

1930s antique Meredith Drew glass shop counter advertising display jar

A quality French white ironstone mixing bowl with pouring spout, dating from the late nineteenth/early 20th Century.

The large size of this antique ironstone mixing bowl makes it perfect for use not solely as originally intended, but also as a table centrepiece or displayed as part of a larger kitchenalia collection. The depth of the bowl also makes it ideal for use as a fruit bowl.

In lovely condition, there are no cracks or crazing on this piece. There are some minor scratches and patches of discoloration in the bowl from use, including wear to the base of the rim. Additionally, there is a firing fault on the spout. On close inspection it looks like there are some old minor repairs to the rim of the bowl. However, these do not detract and it is nonetheless an impressive piece of white ironstone kitchen ware. It is particularly difficult to find them with a pouring spout, which is a useful feature.
