Early 1900s Salter Household Scales No. 46 in a Rustic, Chippy Condition but in Full Working Order

1930s antique Meredith Drew glass shop counter advertising display jar

These early antique Salter household scales, dating from the end of the nineteenth/early 20th Centuries, make an excellent kitchen display piece.

In full working order, these Victorian household scales are still in full working order but have now taken on a classic timeworn, rustic and chippy look which is perfect for adding a vintage feel to a kitchen display. Originally a deep bottle green colour with gold trim detail, the original paint has faded and chipped away in a number of places, leaving a very rustic finish.

In the size number 46, the Salter logo features in cast iron at the base of the scales. The face of the scales has scratched and worn over time, giving it an authentic worn patina. There is also oxidisation all over the piece.

They did not come with a weighing pan but they could still be used or they would also make a great vintage prop or display item for any kitchenalia fan.
