Antique Victorian White Ironstone Jelly Mould In the Shape of a Bunny Rabbit
A gorgeous and useful Victorian jelly mould in the shape of a rabbit.
Made by the famous Copeland factory in the late Victorian period, this white ironstone jelly mould is in very fine condition. It’s still in good order and can continue to be used to make more jellies in years to come, and will also look lovely on display in the kitchen. It is rare to find plain white moulds like this by Copeland.
The inside of the mould has some nice details for the rabbit’s features to be included in any jellies. This includes its feet, ears and paws.
Overall, the mould is in good condition. There is no crazing and overall it’s in very clean condition. Inside, there is a very fine stained crack to the glaze but this doesn’t penetrate through. There is also some mild staining to the rim from where this has been used. There are two firing faults, one a small chip on the edge of the base rim which was glazed over and the other a small firing crack also on the base rim.
