Antique Early 20th Century Carved English Butter Stamps Decorated with Wheat Ears and a Leaf Design
This is a listing for ONE antique deeply carved butter stamp, with either a leaf or wheat design.
Dating from the early 20th Century, both these butter moulds are in excellent condition, with deeply carved patterns and rich patinas. These are small examples, measuring just over 4cm in diameter. But with their rich colouring, their quality nonetheless stands out.
A total of two are available to purchase, with patterns depicting either a leaf or ears of wheat. Both are in excellent condition, with the main signs of wear being a few surface scratches to the main bodies of the stamps.
Butter stamps like these make excellent decorative pieces of kitchenalia, and are also good to use either for decorating small butter pats or as use as biscuit stamps (they work particularly well on shortbread)
