Antique White Ironstone English Advertising Pots – Large & Small Confection of Senna by Boots the Chemists

antique white ironstone english boots chemist confection senna advertising pot large small

This is a listing for ONE antique Victorian white ironstone English advertising pot for Boots’ Confection of Senna. A total of two are available to choose from, either in a large or small size.

Dating from the early 1900s, these white ironstone jars are great examples of an antique English advertising pot, produced by Boots chemists (still a recognisable UK brand today). They would look wonderful on display as part of a kitchenalia or white ironstone collection, and is versatile to use in all rooms around the home.

At the time they were produced, these pots were discarded. These have been dug from an old Victorian dump, and therefore feature age related marks which add to their patina and timeworn charm.

SMALL POT: This pot is a clean example. On one side (where the sienna plant is depicted) the transfer has faded from exposure to sunlight, however the rest of the transfer is still clear. There are wear and nibbles to the base, plus a small stained hairline on the top rim which is about 1cm in length.

Height, 8cm; Width, 6cm

LARGE POT: This is a nice clean example with a clear transfer. There are some patches of mild crazing.

Height, 10cm; Width, 7cm
