1930s Antique White Ironstone Advertising Mug for Horlicks by Arklow Pottery, Ireland

1930s antique Meredith Drew glass shop counter advertising display jar

A great sized Horlicks advertising mug with ear handles, dating from the 1930s.

This antique mug is a lovely example of vintage advertising ware that is still great for use today. It’s a great size for those who love Horlicks to drink from.

With iconic ear shaped handles, this mug has the “Horlicks” name on each side of the mug in clear blue transfer print. It was made in Ireland, and features the mark for Arklow pottery on its base.

There is some mild wear to the base rim and very light crazing all over. There is also a tiny spec of a firing fault on the top edge rim which is less than a milimetre in length and width. But the mug is in overall excellent condition, and would be a great addition to any antique advertising kitchenalia collection, as well as being good to use for those who love to drink Horlicks.
