Vintage Early 20th Century 1930s Large Enamel Bread Bin in Cream with Unusual Art Deco Style Green Typography
A great large family sized vintage enamel bread bin, ideal for a rustic kitchen feel.
This retro cream bread bin dates from the 1930s. The green Art Deco style lettering of the word ‘Bread’ is unusual and works well against the contrast of the cream enamel. It would work especially well against a sage green kitchen backdrop. And it is a great size, suitable for holding several different loaves or cakes.
It is in fair condition for its age. There is some corrosion and wear to the enamel, most notably on the bin’s lid and around the base. This is very normal for these old enamel bread bins, and is part of the retro charm and character of the piece. The inside edge of the base has also corroded around the edge, but is still usable. It will be important to keep the inside free from moisture.
