1930s Antique Silver Plated German Lemon Squeezer in the Shape of a Bird by Mussbach
A very cute and highly collectable lemon squeezer in the shape of a bird, dating from the early part of the 20th Century.
Made by Mussbach in Germany in the 1920s or 1930s, this silver plated lemon squeezer is an unusual kitchen of bar accessory. The top section is held in place by hinges in the bird’s eyes which, when pressed down, will squeeze juice from a lemon slice which can subsequently be poured from the bird’s beak.
In good working condition, the silver plate is tarnished but it is possible this could be polished up if desired. It’s a great piece of unusual kitchenalia which would make a great addition to a bar or kitchenalia collection.
