Rare 1930s Toilet Roll Holder with GR Crown Stamp Celebrating King George VI’s Coronation

rare 1930s antique toilet loo roll holder gr king george coronation crown emblem

A rare toilet roll holder featuring the GR Royal stamp and a crown, datiing from the 1930s.

This is an original and rare toilet roll holder, in its original paint, which was made to celebrate the coronation of King George VI in 1937. Then, as now, it was popular to mark national Royal occasions such as this with the production of a variety of Royal memorabilia. And this included loo roll holders to mark the event too!

In its original cream paint, this has peeled in a few places, but this does not detract from the overall cream look of the piece. It is very simple to use, operated by unhooking the right hand side of the wire mechanism.

This piece would add a great vintage touch to your bathroom styling, whilst also creating a unique talking point.
